Brrr, It’s absolutely freezing here in New York city, the ruddy East River has only frozen (see above) and the streets are a bleached hellscape of black-iced pavements walled by dirty ice-snow piles topped with backed up garbage and passing dogs. Delayed last night in Boston by severe storms and a ground stop at La Guardia, eventually we were the last flight to leave Logan Terminal A, and barreled into New York like a bucking bronco, especially for those of us at the back of the shuttle.
